Our machining capabilities are listed at the bottom of this webpage.  We love a challenge, the more complex the machined component, the better!  Components run on multi-axis machining centers, Swiss CNC and screw machines are the most typical type of opportunities that Cardinal Components works on with our diverse customer base.  We can handle low volume (10 qty per year) and high volume (1,000,000 qty per year).

Our sales and purchasing staff work with you every step in the process to make sure each custom metal CNC precision machine shop component meets and exceeds our customer’s industry standards. Please email your blueprint drawing that contains the type of precision machined component that you need to source, to sales@cardinalcomponents.com.

After we receive your drawing, Cardinal’s estimating team will review the print to guarantee understanding of material type, special print notes, tolerances, secondary finishes, and more.  After the estimating team provides a quote, then Cardinal’s customers place an order.

As part of receiving a new order, your custom CNC precision machine component goes through a thorough review in our engineering department, we call it New Product Review (NPR). This part of the process ensures our manufacturing plan is in place and will exactly fit your needs.  Then, Cardinal will confirm the order back to the customer, verifying the pricing and lead time are good and the job will be released for manufacture to one of our award-winning machining suppliers.

Along the way, Cardinal’s customer service team will provide you updates with your order. Items such as early product completion or offering a solution to a manufacturing challenge that arose during the process, which we can mutually overcome together.

Once the machined component is finished, Cardinal will package your custom metal components to your exact standards and hold onto the stock via blanket orders for just-in-time delivery into your production line.

Last, as products ship from Cardinal to you, Cardinal’s customer service team will provide you accurate packing slips, delivery details, tracking information, etc.

The second photo is an example of a complex custom CNC precision machined component that Cardinal developed for a customer. The multi-axis turning of stainless steel with a tight bore tolerance was essential to remain secure in its fixturing while cutting slots through the bottom of the part. All of this complex machining needed to be accomplished while still maintaining a 32-food grade surface finish on all the mating surfaces.

Cardinal will stock a full year blanket order for just-in-time delivery. That means you get a better price for the quantity you order. We will also hold your inventory in our warehouse and ship it immediately when you need it!
